Think back to when you were 3. Its kinda fuzzy isn’t it? Think back to before you were born, when your mom and dad got married? Wouldn’t it have been amazing to have been there? Think about that one family vacation you took to the beach, and how much fun you had simply being with your family.
Now think about your grandchildren. Will they be able to relive these memories with you?
At the end of the day, your memories will fade but photographs last forever. Put yourself in front of the camera. Document these important moments in your life. One day you will wake up, and be able to really look back at this time in your life, and physical hold crystal clear memories in your hand, sharing them with the ones you love the most.
I speak about photography so passionately because it is truly something that I try to live by. As a mom of 2, I look back to my own mother, my grandmother who passed away a few years back, and I yearn for the photographs they simply don’t have. I remember growing up and thinking my grandma was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. I have 1 photograph of her posing in front of her house when she was 30 years old, and its is the last thing I have from her.
I want my boys to be able to always cherish the moments they have with my and my husband. To be able to, 20 years down the road, look up on our walls and see their smiling faces at ages 3 and 4, and be able to show their significant other those memories too. This is why I do photography.
